What is A Parish Council
A Parish Council is the 1st tier of local government. Councillors (13) are elected democratically every 4 years to represent their community. Councillors are not volunteers and the Council is not a club, charity or society. They are consulted on planning applications and communicate directly with other infrastructure and community bodies including Maidstone Borough Council , Kent County Council, Kent Highways, Kent Police and Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
